Contlant Limited

Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Contlant Limited handles information when you use ScopeSpace products and integrations.

Effective 20 August 2026

1. Who we are

Contlant Limited provides ScopeSpace, including ScopePayroll, ScopeBooks, ScopeTax, ScopeStock, ScopeAppointments, billing, workspace and calendar-integration features. For questions or privacy requests, contact hello@contlant.com.

2. Information we process

  • Account and contact information, including names, email addresses, roles, and authentication records.
  • Payroll, employment, tax, billing, and workspace information supplied by customers and their authorized users.
  • Appointment information, including titles, times, attendees, locations, meeting links, and availability.
  • Calendar connection information, provider account identifiers, encrypted access credentials, calendar lists, and event data needed to provide synchronization.
  • Device, security, audit, and service logs used to protect and operate the service.

3. Google, Microsoft, and iCloud calendar data

When you connect a calendar, ScopeSpace uses the permissions you approve only to provide visible scheduling features: listing calendars, reading availability and events, detecting conflicts, and creating or updating events you choose to manage through ScopeAppointments.

ScopeSpace's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. We do not use calendar data for advertising, sell it, or use it to train generalized artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models.

4. Why we use information

We process information to provide contracted services, authenticate users, calculate and explain payroll, coordinate appointments, process subscriptions, communicate service messages, secure the platform, comply with legal obligations, and improve reliability. Where consent is required, you may withdraw it, although doing so can disable the related feature.

5. When information is shared

We share information only as needed with service providers that help us operate ScopeSpace, including hosting, email, payment, and the calendar provider you select. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, or as part of a business transaction subject to appropriate safeguards. We do not sell personal information.

6. Storage, security, and international transfers

We use access controls, tenant separation, encryption for stored integration credentials, secure transport, audit controls, and operational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information. Service providers may process information in other countries; where required, we use contractual and legal safeguards for those transfers.

7. Retention and calendar disconnection

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service, meet payroll, tax, accounting, security, and legal obligations, and resolve disputes. You can disconnect a calendar at any time. After disconnection, ScopeSpace stops new synchronization and removes or makes unusable the stored connection credentials, subject to limited backup, audit, and legal-retention requirements.

8. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, including the Kenya Data Protection Act, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, or withdrawal of consent. An organization using ScopeSpace may be responsible for responding when it controls the relevant employee or customer record. Contact us to begin a request.

9. Children

ScopeSpace is a business service and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly invite children to create accounts.

10. Changes

We may update this policy as the service or applicable requirements change. The effective date above identifies the current version, and material changes will be communicated through an appropriate service channel.
